Sewing patterns are available HERE
Hello everyone!
It’s been three months since my latest post. I had some commissions to finish before I could go on with sewing patterns and making new dresses. Obviously I missed my schedule so much but here I am.
This skirt is part of an ensemble I made last summer to an Italian event which is very popular here (Stresa Liberty) but in the next post you’ll find the bodice as well.
The sewing patterns listings are separated in order to let you make the garment you prefer.

The skirt is dated 1905, a seven gored skirt. I altered it a little bit to fit my 1900s bustle pad, which I worn it under the skirt to have a roundish back. Still I am not sure when that kind of pad was worn (surely before 1907) but I found some imaged of roundish back in the 1905 as well.
However I also wrote how to modify the back patterns in case you’d like to remove the pad.

The skirt has tucks and reinforced hem with crinoline. I know that some of you (mostly outside EU) will use the horsehair braid, but here it Italy everything is difficult to find unless you don’t buy it online, and sometimes shipping costs are so high that is useless to buy something that can be easily replaced.
The only cons with crinoline (as you may have seen from my directions files) is that I had to cut and join each piece of the hem instead of applying the horse hair braid directly. More work to do but the final result is the same.

This is the complete dress in case you haven’t seen it yet!
I really hope you’ll like it!
