Hello everyone and welcome to another post.
This time I’m doing a call for pattern testers to test the new corset cover dated 1898 I replicated from an old illustration.

The Pattern
The patterns is a corset cover dated 1898 with three rows of lace, gathering on the center front underbust and a squared neckline embellished with some more lace.
The patterns cover sizes S to XXL. I attach the table of proportions since this corset cover is meant to be worn over a corset (so a waist reduction is needed).
Testers
This is a intermediate pattern and I’m looking for testers who already have historical sewing experience or advanced sewing experience.
Testers must have the correct undergarments already: shift/combinations, a late Victorian corset, bustle pad and a petticoat.
As part of the application testers are required to send a proper picture of their undergarments.
To be a tester you need:
1. Be able to print the pattern in A4, US Letters.
2. Have enough time to make the item. You’ll have 10 days to make a mock up and fix fitting issues and a further two weeks to make the final garment, photograph it and provide a feedback.
3. Be able to photograph the item worn and be willing for me to share your photos on blog, socials (instagram/facebook) and shop (etsy).
4. Provide a detailed feedback.
5. Agree to a confidentially agreement regarding the pattern.
I ask to testers to not share the final garments until the patterns are released but it’s not a mandatory.
A secret Facebook Group will be created for this purpose: it’s not a mandatory to be part of it but it’s highly suggested to easily share your feedback and be able to receive assistance if needed.
Schedule
Materials & Patterns:
If you’re selected I’ll send to you the patterns and the step-by-step tutorial where materials and directions are already written by 6 pm RM (Rome) 10th June 2022.
Testing and Feedback:
Testers are required to provide an initial feedback with a first mockup until 10pm RM (Rome) 20th June 2022 and a final feedback of the item worn and provide photos until 10pm RM (Rome) 3rd July 2022.
What you’ll receive:
Patterns testers will receive a digital copy of all sizes of the final pattern, features on the credit page inside the step-by-step tutorial and your name on my blog/socials.
Testers chosen from this open call are not paid.
