1895 Petticoat

Sewing patterns are available HERE

Hello everyone and welcome to another journey to historical clothing.
This time I’m sharing an ochre petticoat which is just the foundation to an upcoming 1890s dress I’m working on. i’m attending an event and I have to hurry up since I only have one month left to make pretty everything (except the corset).

The petticoat is made with lightweight cotton and has a lot of gathered fabric on top.
In the photos there’s no hip padding since I have to make it, and I’m sure it’ll change completely once worn.

The pleats are done using a fork and it was faster than usual (thanks to bellamaesdesigns youtube video). Both laces are vintage and I’m glad I finally had the perfect project to use them!
I have so much material in my studio that I’m glad I can find a way to use it!

On my shop I uploaded the patterns (S-XXL) and a step-by-step tutorial.

I hope you like it!
